Drug & Alcohol Rehab Columbus Ohio
As the 14th largest city in America, Columbus is a centrally located hub of commerce, industry, entertainment and sports. Forty-eight percent of Americans live within six hours of Columbus, which was named the Best City in the Midwest in 2016 by Money Magazine. Despite its opportunities and unparalleled growth, however, Columbus is a city caught in the grips of an addiction epidemic.
The numbers indicate that the need for alcohol and drug rehab in Columbus is more dire than ever: According to the Franklin County Coroner’s Office, there were 520 overdose deaths in 2017, a 47.3 percent increase from the year prior. Statewide for 2017, overdose deaths increased by 39 percent — nearly triple the national average. In 2016, 112,000 Ohioans sought help in alcoholism and drug addiction treatment programs, 47 percent of whom were battling addiction to opiates.
Columbus isn’t the only city facing an addiction crisis. It’s a battle being waged on the streets of sprawling metropolises and bucolic towns across the country. As more attention is paid in the media and more resources are allocated to those who need help, one thing is abundantly clear: Alcoholism and drug addiction treatment programs must offer a full range of resources that meet the needs of addicted patients across a variety of biological, psychological, social, and spiritual spectrums.
At Cornerstone of Recovery Ohio, this is exactly what we do. We were founded as an extension of Cornerstone of Recovery, an alcohol and drug rehab in East Tennessee. Our founder’s ties to Ohio made expanding our outpatient resources to the Columbus area a natural fit. Together, the two facilities work hand-in-hand to offer addicts and alcoholics an opportunity to stop drinking and using drugs, lose the desire to do so, and find a new way to live. Our business is drug and alcohol treatment, but our commodity is hope, and our caring and dedicated staff members have a passion for changing lives.

Alcohol and Drug Addiction Programs
If you struggle with alcohol and drugs, you can join one of the many who have undergone a life changing experience. At Cornerstone of Recovery in Columbus, Ohio, we work with a number of area medical detox and medication assisted treatment programs to give our patients the best opportunity to achieve sustained, long-lasting recovery from alcoholism and addiction. We combine traditional 12-Step recovery with proven clinical approaches that help process trauma as well as any issues that preceded your addiction and those worsened or caused by it. We do so in one of two primary treatment paths:
Intensive Outpatient: For 10 weeks, patients will receive on-site treatment for three hours/day, four day/week, that provides them with an anchor to a life of freedom from active addiction.
Ohio MAT-IOP: A program designed specifically for those who are receiving medication maintenance at one of our providing partners. This new program gives those who choose to recover with the aid of Suboxone a judgment-free environment in which to apply traditional recovery tools.
With both programs, we apply the tools that have been proven effective since Cornerstone opened its doors in 1989. As science teaches us more about the disease, we combine proven clinical approaches to addiction treatment that are constantly evolving. In addition, we endorse traditional 12-Step recovery that has been working in the lives of addicts and alcoholics for more than 80 years.
